Information Minister, Dr. Paul Morcos, on Friday visited Radio Lebanon archive in the presence of Ministry Director General Dr. Hassan Falha, Radio Director Mohammad Gharib, Head of Programs Rita Najim Al-Roumi, and archive officials, touring its sections and reviewing preservation conditions, safety measures, and electronic storage systems.
Morcos instructed that all public safety requirements be completed and that alarm and protection systems be tested, updated, and regularly monitored to safeguard the national heritage from potential risks.
The Minister also directed that the digitization of the archive be completed in the coming months, stressing its importance in preserving historical materials and ensuring secure access while protecting intellectual property rights.
Morcos further called for strengthening the human resources dedicated to the digitization project through additional work shifts to expedite completion within the set timeframe.
