Lebanon’s Ambassador to Jordan Brigitte Touq hosted a reception at the Lebanese Embassy in Amman in honor of Minister of Information Paul Morcos, who is visiting the Jordanian capital as part of the Media, Diplomacy and Investment Forum. The event was attended by members of the Lebanese community in Jordan, whom the minister met and listened to their views, stressing their vital role in supporting Lebanon and preserving its image abroad.
In his remarks, Morcos outlined the government’s efforts and the work of the Ministry of Information, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding the rights of expatriates as permanent partners in Lebanon’s recovery. He noted that the Lebanese diaspora remains a priority for President Joseph Aoun and the government, particularly with regard to facilitating their right to vote.
Ambassador Touq welcomed the minister, saying his visit reflects the Lebanese state’s commitment to strengthening ties with expatriate communities and addressing their concerns.
On the sidelines of the visit, Morcos was awarded a commemorative shield by the Catholic Center for Studies and Media and Lighthouse Arab World in recognition of his participation in the launch of the Arabic-dubbed version of the international series The Chosen, held under the patronage of Princess Rym Ali, President of the Amman International Film Festival.
