“Charity Radio” and “Charity TV” Stations celebrated their 41st anniversary in a dinner banquet under the patronage of Information Ministry Paul Morcos, held at the Atlal Plaza – Golden Ballroom Restaurant in Maameltein.
The ceremony included an honoring tribute to the Patriarchal Vicar General for the Maronite region of Jounieh, Bishop Antoine Nabil Andary.
In his word on the occasion, Morcos expressed his joy to be part of this celebration that “combines a purposeful media message and the well-deserved tribute to a spiritual and national figure who has always joined wisdom and steadfastness, love and stance together, His Eminence Bishop Antoine Nabil Andary.”
He added: “It is not a circumstantial compliment, but rather a testimony of the merit of a man who, for about six years, has shouldered a precise and vital media responsibility in his capacity as Chairman of the Episcopal Committee for Media, a committee that seriously and responsibly follows up on both ecclesiastical and national media issues.”
Morcos referred to the honored Bishop’s accomplishments in terms of organizing, directing, and monitoring the media outlets affiliated with the Church, emphasizing that ecclesiastical media is not only a platform for reciting the truth, but also a lively space for interaction between the Church and society, between faith and reality, between spiritual constants and daily challenges.
Morcos went on, “It is an evening during which we celebrate Charity Radio and TV, these two media outlets that speak for the Church, which play an effective role in spreading the message of love and hope, and in strengthening spiritual and national values in a time of great noise and little light.”
He praised the efforts exerted through both stations to establish the true image of the media: to be at the service of humanity, not a tool to mislead them; to spread hope in times of anxiety, and faith in times of disintegration.
