The Ministry of Information issued a warning statement calling on all citizens, especially influencers, artists, and media professionals, to completely refrain from any form of direct or indirect communication with the spokespersons of the Israeli enemy army or its affiliated media outlets, regardless of the pretext or justification.
The ministry stressed that this kind of interaction constitutes a clear violation of Lebanese laws, especially those related to boycotting the Israeli enemy, which exposes the individual to legal accountability under applicable laws.
The ministry also warned against the spread of fake news and anonymous voice messages circulating on social media, aiming to stir up confusion and incitement among the Lebanese, urging citizens to verify news sources and refrain from reposting any suspicious or unreliable content.
The statement concluded by calling on all to “exercise national awareness and responsibility in dealing with digital content, to preserve Lebanese sovereignty and safeguard supreme national interest.”
