On the sidelines of the Arab Media Summit 2025 in Dubai, Lebanon’s Minister of Information, Attorney Paul Marcos, met with Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, with whom he discussed the situation of the media in the Arab world and the impact of technological developments on it.
Minister Morcos also met with Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and CEO of the Dubai Press Club, Mona Al Marri, with whom he broached media and cultural affairs, in the presence of Lebanese Minister of Culture Ghassan Salameh.
Earlier this morning, Minister Morcos met with Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the UAE National Media Office. Discussions between the pair reportedly touched on ways to enhance media cooperation between the two countries.
Morcos also invited Al-Hamed to participate in the Arab Media Forum, which will be held in Beirut from October 9 to 12, under the patronage of President of the Republic General Joseph Aoun.
They also agreed to continue cooperation for the benefit of the Arab media.
Morcos also met with Ahmed Al-Maslamani, Chairman of the Egyptian National Media Authority (NMA), with whom he discussed ways of bilateral professional cooperation.
Additionally, a five-member meeting was held comprising Minister Morcos, Bahraini Minister of Information Dr. Ramzan Al-Nuaimi, Kuwaiti Minister of Information Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Chairman of the UAE Media Council, and the Chairman of the National Media Authority in Egypt.
The attendees discussed ways of Arab media cooperation and solidarity.
