Information Minister Paul Marcos, currently participating in the Arab Media Forum in Kuwait, discussed with Minister of Information and Culture, State Minister for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, areas of cooperation between Lebanon and Kuwait, particularly in the media and cultural fields.
Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported that the meeting, which coincided with Minister Morcos’ visit to the country, emphasized the depth of fraternal relations between the State of Kuwait and the Lebanese Republic, and both sides’ keenness to enhance mechanisms for joint cooperation and exchange of media expertise, thus contributing to developing media content and supporting purposeful messages in the Arab world.
The two sides also discussed strengthening the implementation of the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed between the two countries in the media field, highlighting “the importance of exchanging delegations and technical expertise, in addition to bilateral cooperation in the fields of media training, qualification, and joint production.”
The possibility of enhancing coordination in covering cultural and media events in both countries was also tackled during the meeting, as well as expanding partnerships between official media institutions to keep pace with rapid developments in the media sector.
Both sides underlined the need for intensifying media cooperation to address common challenges, unify efforts to serve Arab interests, and enhance the media’s role in spreading the values of understanding, dialogue, and responsibility.
