Minister of Information, Attorney Dr. Paul Morcos, on Wednesday received in his office at the ministry, a delegation of the Information Faculty Alumni Association, chaired by the Director of Lebanese Studies and Publications at the Ministry of Information, Khodor Majed.
Following the meeting, Majed said: “The Information Faculty Alumni Association had the honor of visiting the Minister of Information, Dr. Paul Morcos. We discussed the general media situation in the country, including the recent appointments at Tele Liban. We commended the appointment of Dr. Elissar Naddaf, as she is a member of the Information Faculty Alumni Association and has attained this position through her competence.”
Majed also hailed the “progress made in the Information Ministry’s media employees’ retirement file,” hoping that “it will reach a happy conclusion within the General Assembly of the House of Parliament.”
Majed also pointed out that the discussion touched on “topics related to the association, the new media law, and the need to preserve the status of media graduates in this law in any new institution to be established.”
The discussion also addressed other academic issues, including training topics and necessary amendments to be included in the law, in terms of data science, artificial intelligence, and media developments in the country.
