Abdel Samad: Lebanon Is More Than A Country, It Is A Message

Caretaker Minister of Information, Dr. Manal Abdel Samad Najd, met this Saturday morning in Bkirki with Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Mar Beshara Boutros al-Rahi.

Following the meeting, Abdel Samad called on the Patriarch to “unify the word and work with solidarity and love to advance the country.”

“Lebanon is more than a country: it is a message of freedom and an example of pluralism,” she added.

Abdel Samad hoped that “the Lebanese would increase the positivity in their hearts, rather than the positive results in COVID-19.”

Finally, she urged the Lebanese to unite and reduce hate speech.
