Abdel Samad Visits Annahar Newspaper To Inspect Damages To Its Building

Caretaker Minister of Information, Dr. Manal Abdel Samad Najd, on Monday visited the Annahar Newspaper in Beirut’s Downtown, where she met with the Newspaper’s Editor-in-Chief, Nayla Tueini, Editorial Director Ghassan Al-Hajjar, and Journalist Ali Hamadeh.

After touring the Newspaper’s variuos departments and having a closer look at the huge damages inflicted by the Aug 4 Beirut Port explosion, Minister Abdel Samad stressed that this visit was to inspect the inflicted damages and to express support to this great media edifice that dates back 87 years.

Abdel Samad underlined “the necessity of the continuity of the march of Annahar Newspaper,” stressing that its collapse is absolutely impermissible under any circumstances, with the hope of advancing the media sector, whether written, visual, audio or digital.
