Abdel Samad: Delay in vaccinating media professionals due to delay in arrival of required quantities of vaccines

Caretaker Minister of Information, Dr. Manal Abdel Samad Najd, explained in a brief interview broadcast during Tele Liban’s news bulletin on Friday that the delay in vaccinating media professionals was not due to a change in priorities, but rather due to the delay in the arrival of the required quantities of vaccines, let alone the high number of the elderly who were included in the first phase of vaccination.

She pointed out that media professionals over the age of 55 would receive the vaccine in the next phase, according to the vaccination national plan.

The Minister also revealed her endeavors to secure a grant, in coordination with Caretaker Minister of Public Health, Dr. Hamad Hassan, to help speed up the vaccination  process of media professionals.
