Makary Broaches Current Developments, Media Emergency Plan With Tele-Lumiere Media Delegation

Caretaker Minister of Information, Ziad Makary, welcomed, at his ministry office, a media delegation which included: Head of the Episcopal Commission for media outlets and Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Tele Lumiere”, Bishop Antoine Nabil Andari, Télé Lumière’s Executive Director- Noursat Board Chairman Jacques Kallassy, Executive Director of Al Mahabah Radio and Television “Charity TV” Father Charbel Geagea, Director of “Nour Al Shabab” station from “Noursat” Josephine Daher Al Ghoul and Jocelyn Latif.

Local developments and the role of Christian media in creating a good society and educating correct citizenship were discussed.

Discussions also touched on the emergency plan at the media level in light of current developments.

Makary was also briefed on the conditions of the Christian religious media outlets operating in Lebanon, which were established by a Cabinet decision in 1996.
