Lebanese Ministry of Information
Caretaker Minister of Information, Ziad Makary, met in Paris with UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Communication and Information, Tawfik Jelassi, in the presence of Lebanese Ambassador to UNESCO Sahar Baasiri, and Lebanon’s deputy permanent representative to the UNESCO Nadim Sourati, among others.
Talks reportedly touched on the ongoing cooperation between Lebanon and the UNESCO, in addition to the Information Ministry’s efforts to combat fake news and hatred speech.
