Obtaining A Press Card For Arab And Foreign Reporters In Lebanon From The Ministry Of Information

Pursuant to decree n0 10394 issued on 2 September 1968 (regulation of the profession of foreign press correspondents in Lebanon),

The ministry of Information reminds all accredited correspondents and workers at foreign media on Lebanese territory to get their press cards from the ministry.

Arab and Foreign journalists on permanent status are to submit the following documents:

  • A recent letter from the media stating their title and duration of their stay;
  • CV;
  • Passport copy and a recent photograph;

This will entitle them to legalize their status and obtain a work permit and a residency card.

Once all of the above are obtained, yearly press card would be issued by the Ministry of Information.

Arab and Foreign journalists on temporary status are to submit the following documents:

  • A recent letter from the media stating their temporary assignment, purpose, position and duration of their assignment;
  • Press card from the establishment;
  • Photocopy of the passport and the visa, and two recent photographs.

Once all of the above are obtained, a temporary press card would be issued by the Ministry of Information.

Lebanese journalists working for Arab and Foreign Media are to submit the following documents:

  • A recent letter for the Arab media or from the Foreign media certifying their position;
  • Criminal record; (سجل عدلي)
  • Certified Lebanese ID;
  • Two photographs ;

All of hte above mentioned applicants are required to fill out a form in person at the Ministry of Information.
